NBA Schedule Data Sources & Corrections
Hoops On Today uses cached NBA schedule data distributed by SportsDataverse / hoopR. Its processing pipeline derives the schedules from ESPN data and publishes season files in the SportsDataverse data releases.
Current data coverage
1206 schedule entries, including 302 with a national TV listing. Missing fields are displayed as unavailable; we do not guess a channel.
Source file updated: 2026-10-01T11:59:19Z. Last successful site import: 2026-10-01T20:25:01+00:00. These are separate timestamps: a successful download does not mean the upstream file changed.
What we include
Game dates, supplied tip times, teams, source status, available national broadcast names and final scores when supplied. We filter and reformat the dataset for browsing. The project publishes a CC BY 4.0 data license; NBA and team trademarks remain their owners’ property.
Update frequency and limitations
The site checks the season file daily and retains the last successful cache if an import fails. The publisher’s update schedule is outside our control. This is not a live-score feed, not a league-operated service and not a guarantee of last-minute scheduling changes. The current season file does not provide complete preseason, playoff or regional TV coverage.
How TV fields are handled
We use the national broadcast field as supplied. We do not convert a missing field into a presumed League Pass, regional or streaming listing. A broadcaster label is not proof that your subscription or location has access. Editorial corrections can replace a listing without being erased by later imports.
Report a correction
Send a correction with the teams, game date, correct time or listing and a source link. League, team and broadcaster schedules are useful verification sources. We review reports before changing a game.
Additional viewing sources
We supplement the schedule with current broadcaster announcements and NBA team or help-center guides. These editorial summaries are checked separately from the daily schedule import and currently cover the 2026–27 season. Each team guide links to its source and includes a check date. We label unconfirmed arrangements rather than assigning a presumed channel.
Game cards may add a streaming route supported by the national broadcaster’s announcement. Local season guides are not game-specific confirmations. We do not infer a regional broadcast from a blank national field, and we do not run a direct NBA or ESPN scraper for these additions.
